This generous urban garden is arranged across three main terraces, each offering distinct opportunities for family life and outdoor living. The lower level is composed of broad terraces adjacent to the house, forming a seamless connection to the new contemporary extension and providing ample space for dining and entertaining.
The intermediate terrace introduces a dedicated outdoor building designed for yoga practice and creative workshops. Nearby, a floating deck forms a relaxed lounging area, surrounded by lush, layered planting that softens the architecture and brings the space to life throughout the year.
As a family garden, it was essential to dedicate a large and flexible lawn at the far end of the site - a space for football, play, and informal gatherings. This open area flows naturally toward the woodland at the back of the garden, inviting exploration and strengthening the connection with nature.
Throughout the design, existing hard landscape elements were retained and reimagined through planting. Evergreen structure, seasonal perennials, and a diverse botanical palette enrich the garden with texture, habitat, and long-lasting visual interest, ensuring a space that feels both established and full of life.
